Survey on Ultrasonography in Equine Medical Education

Digitalisation of academic education has opened up new possibilities for veterinary training, especially in the placement of hands-on medical activities. Dr. Silvio Kau (Vetmeduni Vienna) and Prof Anna May (LMU) would like to explore these possibilities in a collaborative research project aimed at developing a fully dynamic simulator for equine ultrasonography training. This new learning environment should improve students' hands-on skills through repetitive training opportunities while reducing the number of live training horses required.
