Clinical approaches to common problems

The resident must be comfortable with evaluating and treating the following:

  1. Changes in body temperature (hyperthermia, fever, hypothermia; fever of unknown origin, heat stress and malignant hyperthermia). 
  2. Changes in body weight.
  3. Poor performance.
  4. Dysphagia.
  5. Colic, diarrhoea.
  6. Respiratory distress.
  7. Cough.
  8. Polyuria/polydipsia.
  9. Oedema. 
  10. Ataxia.
