Clinical approaches to common problems
The resident must be comfortable with evaluating and treating the following:
- Changes in body temperature (hyperthermia, fever, hypothermia; fever of unknown origin, heat stress and malignant hyperthermia).
- Changes in body weight.
- Poor performance.
- Dysphagia.
- Colic, diarrhoea.
- Respiratory distress.
- Cough.
- Polyuria/polydipsia.
- Oedema.
- Ataxia.
