2021 ECEIM examinations postponed

The ECEIM Executive Committee and the ECEIM Examination Committee have taken the decision to postpone this year's ECEIM examinations until the week of the 28th June 2021 due to the evolving Covid-19 pandemic.
Given  the very real threat to participants' health, we consider this is the right and only way to proceed.

Many countries already have restrictions in place that may limit travel now and for an unknown duration. We hope that by the summer, vaccination and social distancing measures along with the better weather will have sufficiently reduced the risk to enable all candidates who wish to sit the examination to go ahead.  The examination committee will take all possible steps to avoid cancellation at short notice in the summer, including committing to remaining in frequent communication with the candidates and supervisors, and reviewing the risk again prior to the 1st May 2021 to decide if this remains possible.  If at this time there are still concerns then we will take the decision then to cancel the 2021 exam and the next opportunity to sit them will be in early 2022.

As previously communicated, ECEIM wishes to do all they can to support candidates at this difficult time.  The normal timing of the 2022 examinations will not be affected.
