Maternity cover role - Three Counties Equine Hospital

Three Counties Equine Hospital are recruiting an equine internal medicine clinician for a maternity cover position from February 2026. The role is hospital based as part of a multidisciplinary team. The primary role will be treating hospitalised and out-patient internal medicine cases. Occasional external visits may be necessary to assess or follow up medicine cases. Additionally, providing support for our first opinion ambulatory team and encouraging and teaching interns and EMS students is expected. Our team are friendly and work closely together; we are dedicated to providing excellent care for our patients and impeccable client service with an evidence-based approach. Our case load is balanced across race, sports and leisure horses with a high proportion of neonatal and critical care cases.

The role would suit a diploma holder or a board eligible candidate who would be confident to work both independently as well as part of a team. The position is for a 4 or 4.5 day working week with a 1:4 participation in the out of hours rota.

Three Counties Equine Hospital is part of VetPartners, along with several other large hospitals in the UK. Remote support is available via our network of medicine specialists.
