Tierärztliches Kompetenzzentrum Karthaus GmbH

The Veterinary Clinic Karthaus - founded in 1996 – is a well-established emergency / referral hospital located in lovely North Rhine-Westphalia, not too far from the Dutch border.

We can stable around 100 horses in our clinic area. Our experienced veterinarians (8) and the younger veterinary assistants (10) are working in different departments. Primary duties includes diagnostic and treatment in:

- Lameness

- Surgery (orthopaedic, soft tissue, emergency, …)

- Internal medicine, neonatology, gastrointestinal, respiratory, cardiac, dermatologic, neurologic

- Ophthalmology

- Dentistry

- Sports medicine

- Reproduction

- Corrective podiatry

- Ambulatory practice

The hospital is well equipped with state of the art equipment. There are two active working diplomates: ECEIM and ECAR. The clinic is also accredited as an institute for Standard Residency Training Programmes.
