Anglesey Lodge Equine Hospital is seeking a full-time board-certified or board-eligible internal medicine specialist (ACVIM or ECEIM) or clinician with internal medicine experience to join our full-service equine hospital at Friarstown, Co. Kildare, Ireland R51 HK85. The successful applicant will share in-hospital internal medicine responsibilities ( 1 in 3 rota) with our current ECEIM board eligible internist, and join a team of three board-certified surgeons, twelve ambulatory veterinarians, team of veterinary interns and veterinary nurses, and a laboratory technician, in addition to office/ administrative staff and grooms. The caseload is 90% Thoroughbred racehorse, with a strong neonatology component. The hospital includes two surgical suites, barn and foal isolation barn, several ultrasound machines, digital radiography, 1m and 3m videoendoscopy, nuclear scintigraphy, pharmacy, and a laboratory. Salary will be commensurate with the applicant's experience and qualifications. Benefits include licensing/membership fees, professional liability coverage, and continuing education allowance.

The hospital is located in the heart of the horseracing industry in Ireland.  The Curragh is one of Ireland's most prominent racecourses and is situated on the beautiful Curragh plains in County Kildare, between the towns of Newbridge and Kildare. The Curragh is an unenclosed rolling grassland plain of almost 5000 acres. The hospital is also located close to a major motorway, and only a short drive away from Dublin.
