The School of Agricultural, Environmental & Veterinary Sciences at Charles Sturt University, Wagga Wagga, NSW, Australia invites applications for a continuing faculty position (lecturer/senior lecturer) in equine medicine.

The Role
•    Continuing, Full time
•    Lecturer (Level B)/Senior Lecturer (Level C) - AUD$107,098 to AUD$150,813 pa (plus 17% superannuation)
•    Clinical loading and remuneration for on call responsibilities

The role involves providing clinical and teaching services in equine medicine at our equine veterinary hospital (Veterinary Clinical Centre) and contains opportunities for professional development and is designed to fit with individual needs while working with specialists in equine medicine, equine sports medicine, theriogenology, anaesthesia and equine surgery and experienced technical staff who are focused on delivering high-quality clinical services, undergraduate and post-graduate (resident) teaching and research.

The Veterinary Clinical Centre is a purpose built equine hospital staffed by specialists in equine medicine, equine surgery, anaesthesia and theriogenology, residents and experienced technicians. The hospital provides comprehensive equine services 24/7 in facilities and equipment of the highest contemporary standard, including advanced diagnostic imaging (CT, fluoroscopy, digital radiography), ultrasonography, advanced ophthalmology equipment, telemetric electrocardiography, high-speed treadmill, video and dynamic endoscopy, state-of-the-art intensive care unit and isolation facility and has access to the commercial Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory on campus.

To be successful you will have:
•    Current registration or eligibility for registration with the Veterinary Practitioners Board of NSW
•    ECEIM and/or ACVIM and /or ANZCVS specialist qualifications in equine medicine or completion of an ECEIM/ACVIM/ANZCVS residency and eligibility to sit board certification examinations. 
•    Commitment and experience in delivering high quality, student centred learning and teaching to undergraduate veterinary students
•    Commitment to upholding the advancement of the discipline of equine medicine and the veterinary profession through professional activity and/or research is required. 
•    A record of professional activity and experience in advanced equine clinical practice, and for level C applicants, a record of significant achievement at a national level relevant to equine medicine.

The successful candidate will be appointed to either a teaching research or teaching professional work function and will have access to the University's generous relocation support scheme.
