Resident in Equine Internal Medicine

The Equine Veterinary Medical Center (EVMC) in Qatar is seeking applicants for a new ECEIM Resident in Equine Medicine, commencing in July 2025

EVMC is a purpose-built state-of-the-art equine hospital that opened its doors in 2018 and has since grown to see over 2500 cases per year and become one of the most advanced equine hospitals in the Middle East. The hospital is staffed with an extensive team of boarded specialists, general practitioners, interns, nurses, veterinary assistants, and grooms. Our caseload includes a high volume of intensive care and emergency work, which provides fantastic clinical opportunities for our medicine team.  

The residency position provides an opportunity for the right candidate to undertake specialty training in equine medicine under the guidance of our two board-certified medicine diplomats, Dr Matthew Robin (ECEIM) and Dr Benjamin Uberti (ACVIM), to fulfil the requirements for membership of ECEIM

Requirements: 
•    DVM or equivalent
•    Completion of either a (minimum) 12 month rotating hospital-based internship or 24 months of ambulatory practice (equine or large animal) after graduation.

•    Experience of administration of inhalation anaesthesia to horses is desirable.
•    Full proficiency in oral and written English.
