European College of Equine Internal Medicine

ECEIM residency at Charles Sturt University, Australia

The School of Agricultural, Environmental and Veterinary Sciences, Charles Sturt University (CSU), Australia is inviting applications for three and a half year, fixed-term residency position in Equine Internal Medicine, linked to a professional doctorate, commencing in July 2025.
The positions will satisfy the credential requirements for the European College of Equine Internal Medicine and completion of the Doctor of Veterinary Studies (DVStud). The successful candidate will receive advanced clinical and research training in equine medicine at the Veterinary Clinical Centre (VCC), CSU, under the direct supervision of registered specialists. Additional training in related disciplines will be provided by registered specialists at the VCC and/or during external placements. The VCC has a strong caseload covering all aspects of equine medicine, equine theriogenology, equine surgery, equine sports medicine, dentistry and anaesthesia.

The successful applicant will be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or permanent Australian resident, have a veterinary degree (preferably with honours) registrable in New South Wales, Australia and a minimum of two years of veterinary professional experience. A demonstrated interest in equine medicine and advanced written and verbal communication skills are essential.
