ECEIM 4-year training residency at University of Glasgow
Hello! We are pleased to offer a further residency training position in Equine Internal Medicine at the University of Glasgow, to start soon in the New Year.
This clinical training position will be for 4 years, and incorporate research leading to a Masters of Veterinary Medicine. The chosen applicant will be based at Glasgow Equine Hospital for the duration of the training, but with multiple opportunities to gain additional training with other clinics internationally if required as the residency period progresses. Equine Infectious Diseases will form the basis of the Masters Study with the opportunity for overseas fieldwork and training in specific laboratory skills by colleagues within the School of Biodiversity, One Health and Veterinary Medicine, Glasgow University. Residents completing this programme to date have been successful in their speciality training and examinations, and progressed to private or University careers in Equine Internal Medicine, or related research disciplines in Equine Medicine.
Discussion of the role with current members of the team is recommended. Experience in equine practice is preferred or a combination of private practice and internship completion. Candidates must have or be eligible for membership of RCVS, in addition to requisite experience. Further details of the residency and the application process are detailed in the attached document.
