The Department of Veterinary Medicine - Equine Clinic, General Surgery and Radiology is searching for a Veterinarian (postdoc) (m/f/d), Full-time employment, unlimited, salary group 14 TV-L FU

A permanent position in the clinic for horses is to be filled by August 1st, 2022
Responsibilities:
- Participation in the emergency service (night, weekend, public holiday) of the equine clinic
- Participation in teaching, research and services at the clinic for horses in all specialist areas with a focus on internal medicine
- Independent patient care
- Point of contact for assistants and technical personnel in the emergency service
- Guidance for vets (interns), paramedics, TMFA's and students
- Ensuring documentation and quality of medical care
- Prepare the shift handover of the patient animals in writing
- Preparation of discharge reports
- Invoicing
- Basic interest in quality assurance and academic self-administration
Recruitment requirements:
- Approval and doctorate as a veterinarian
- German language
Wishes:
- Specialist veterinary training (or in the final), i.e. DipECEIM
- Experience in the care of emergency patients
- reliable knowledge of the interpretation of laboratory results
- Knowledge of clinical hygiene and infection prevention
- Interest in the internal diseases of horses including eye and foal diseases
- High motivation for service; high degree of resilience, reliability and willingness to perform
- Organization and participation in further education and training programs
- Experience/ interest as well as commitment and motivation in student training in theory and practice
- Experience and interest in scientific work (implementation/supervision of research projects/doctoral students, own PhD possible), Willingness to take on tasks in the field of operational and teaching organization
- Communication skills and ability to work in a team
- Very good language skills in German and English
