On behalf of the ECEIM Board and the School of Veterinary Medicine and Science of the University of Nottingham, it is my pleasure to invite you to the 13th ECEIM Congress in 2020.
The congress will be held in Rome, "Eternal City" which needs no introduction. The venue will be the Ergife Palace Hotel (https://www.ergifepalacehotel.com) located on the historic Via Aurelia at a short distance from the Vatican. The congress will run alongside SIVE (Italian Equine Veterinary Association) Congress. Pre-congress practical workshops will take place at the Caserma dei Carabinieri "Tor Di Quinto", which houses over 200 horses.
The pre-congress and congress program will span across hot topics in equine internal medicine including infectious diseases, neurology, neuromuscular disease, ophthalmology, cardiology, point-of-care testing and many others.
The settings for the congress need hardly any introduction. Located in the centre of Italy, Rome can be easily reached by air via its two international airports, by train, car and even boat. An "aperitivo" on the famous Spanish steps, a "gelato" by the iconic Trevi fountain, hike to the top of Bernini's dome of St Peter's Basilica for a breath-taking view of the city, glazing at the Sistine chapel, imagine gladiators fighting in the Colosseum: these are just some of the indelible memories you could get in Rome. Among all of this you will be properly sustained by mouth-watering food and wines, spectacles of world-envied Italian culinary tradition.
While the ECEIM congress is always a great opportunity to listen to cutting-edge science delivered by international specialists in the field of equine internal medicine and it's also a great opportunity to visit a city that has and continues to inspire culture and society for over 2500 years.
Save the date of the 20-21st November 2020 in your calendar to be part of ECEIM2020 in Rome.
